Fantastic!!

ETC Inc. received an Occupancy Permit for 78 Howard Ave., ELMIRA, ON at 3:10 P.M., Monday, Oct. 30, 2006!

While we enjoy drama, getting this permit 3 days, 3 hours and 50 minutes prior to opening our doors to welcome our first audience was nerve wracking to say the least, but, WE DID IT!

The completion of this task is a culmination of years of work by the buiding committee, months of investment in sweat equity by members, weeks of concern over financing, days of cleaning and decorating and, finally, minutes of coffee and doughnuts admiring our work.

Thanks from ETC to anyone and everyone who contributed to this massive undertaking.

HELP!

We need bodies to help tomorrow, Sat. Oct. 7/06.

It's Thanksgiving weekend, so let's do something ETC can be thankful for - helping to finish the building!

We need all the help we can get to:

Put the stage up, install 6 toilets and sinks, prime trim, clear all walkways and entranceways, (as we have a fire inspector coming in next week), and stuff envelopes for more mailings of our brochure.

Obviously, light and heavy work for each any any one of us.

Please come out, help for a much as you can and, as usual, pizza and beer/soft drinks at lunch.

"Remember, many hands make for light work."

If you have no interest or ability with electrical or plumbing 'stuff', IT DOESN'T MATTER!

Come to the new building on Saturday, Sept. 23/06 and be the extra hand we all need when doing the simplest job around the house. The person who can hand a nail to the person who can actually hit it with the hammer! While the focus will be on electrical and plumbing work, there's always something going on that needs an extra person.

A few hours, an hour, or, half an hour, every little bit of time helps to ease the workload and, more importantly, gets it done.

We don't have forever until opening night, so come on out and lend a hand.

Drop in any time after 9:00 A.M. and you'll be welcomed with open arms.

New Building

Our new hall is well underway.

We have poured a foundation for our new addition and the walls have gone up.

This week, work on the roof will begin.

Inside the existing section, electrical and plumbing work have been roughed in and painting has begun on the ceiling in that ultimate theatre colour, black.

Interior walls are the next step and should begin this week.
